Great reminder of the bullet journal. I did try one some years ago but it never stuck. I think maybe I’ll give it another go. Not disciplined enough for resolutions I try to work with an intention through my word of the year and this year the word is embrace. I would like to live more in the moment of wherever I am, and especially so with my body as I age. As always, your prompts light a spark and I appreciate the opportunity to reflect. Cheers to another year full of wonderful experiences.

A word of the year is a great idea - I'm seeing that all over LinkedIn this year. Love your approach and see it reflected in the way you lead your life. xx

LUCKY, Angela. Kosky, always over the top but true theatre transcendance. Would love to have seen his "Cage" which we missed by wk in Berlin. Enjoy throughly! Btw: Komische was my fav of Berlin's 3 opera companies . My second home. My Berlin landlady's son work as carpenter there. Her former husband was a former principal dancer.

You could have played the main role in Cage. My mother took me to see the movie in Ottawa when I was a teenager. Quite bold of her! xx

Very well thought out, Angela. Barry Kosky directed the innovative Komische Oper's "Magic Flute" which did play Mtl 2 yrs ago. Yes, creative & naughty but great FUN. Never make NY resolutions - just plan ahead Dec-Jan. Your 'plotting out' to do's seems to have rewarded you but then your whole approach was positive --- NOT negative. Some people, sadly, don't take the time & thought to set their goals with the steady, practical steps to achieve them. BTW: each January, I set up two hard copy agenda planners to keep me on track; essential with galloping ADHD, dyslexia & light narcolepsy. Will be most interesting to see how our individual yrs pan out. We have just booked return visited to Aveyron France for spring & intend Barbados for Christmas.

It's true the positive approach - however random it seemed at the time - was the key. Glad you've seen Kosky. Spontaneously I booked a ticket to his now sold-out production of Chicago in Berlin this Friday. YAY.

My Leuchtturm journal in bright yellow has dotted lines and page numbers, too. I try to write in it every day. ❤️

If you try to write in it every day, does that mean you treat it more of a diary? If so, how much do you write?

I write in it when I'm overwhelmed, usually emotionally by my effing cancer or have that grinding anxiety I wake up with and meditation is unable to assuage. I love how the words flow from my pen onto the page, the scratch and scratch of the nib, the green ink I'm using, the pleasure of the text (sic) and going back days later and seeing what I was thinking about, it really is cathartic. And is soothing like cucumbers on a hot day.

Is there anything better than cucumber salad on a hot day? I write with ink and nib too and find it the best combination to let the words flow. Green ink! You're too cool.

Besides very good watermelon, cucumber salad is the queen of the road in our van! My red Kaweco Sport with green ink in a yellow journal lifts the stream of consciousness to the next level! 😂
